Custom CNAMEs for OAuth
When users authenticate to your app via OAuth, they'll encounter a consent pane from the OAuth provider. It's super important that those consent panes keep your brand's look and feel as much as possible and that's why we're super excited to support custom CNAMEs!
Custom CNAMEs allow you to remap the Stytch OAuth redirect URL to one that is owned by you. This immediately improves your OAuth flow in two ways. First it will automatically start displaying your domain rather than stytch.com on OAuth consent panes, and it also sets you up for an easy transition into production with the identity provider.
To setup your own custom CNAME, visit the OAuth section of your Stytch Dashboard and follow the step-by-step guide!
Twitch and Coinbase
The two latest OAuth providers to join our API are Twitch and Coinbase!
Apps are more than the sum of their parts and we think authentication is the same, your users aren't on just one platform. Their digital lives always span multiple platforms and access to all of those identity providers can be immensely powerful.
Are you building a Web3 or gaming focused community? Discord + Twitch or Discord + Coinbase are great combinations to meet your users where they are and build tight integrations with the platforms they use every day.
