2025.03.28 | CNAME Improvements for Test Environments
We're excited to announce that CNAME improvements are now live, enhancing your ability to test and develop with Stytch across test environments!
As Stytch continues to release powerful features that often intertwine with CNAMEs (Connected Apps, HTTP-only cookies, Device Fingerprinting, OAuth, and more!), the need for robust testing in test environments has grown significantly.
To make the experience better, we've rolled out full support for custom CNAMEs in your test environments! This means you can seamlessly test these features with your own custom domains in environments that mirror your live setup more closely. This improvement provides a more consistent and reliable testing experience, ensuring smoother integrations and feature rollouts.
Adding a CNAME to your test environment is now easier than ever:
Simply visit the Project Settings page in your Stytch Dashboard for your test environment: https://stytch.com/dashboard/project-settings?env=test
At the bottom of the page, you will find instructions on how to add your custom domain. Follow these steps to configure your CNAME for the environment.
With this update, you can now use Stytch's latest features with the confidence of thorough testing in environments that better reflect your production setup. Start testing today!
