2025.05.02 | Mobile native Device Fingerprinting
We are happy to announce that we have launched native Device Fingerprinting for mobile platforms, including Android, iOS, and React Native giving you complete visibility and protection across the different devices accessing your application.
This is an improvement over our previous webview implementation designed to better work with mobile-specific fingerprinting signals. With these native implementations, we now have greater access to device-level signals, which helps us collect and generate better fingerprints and potentially increase identifier uniqueness. These native implementations are also designed to be both easier to maintain and faster.
Try it Out:
If you are using a project with device fingerprinting enabled and our standard mobile SDKs, you can update to the following versions:
Android: 0.45.0+
iOS: 0.71.0+
RN: 0.54.0+
If you want to try out the native standalone device fingerprinting SDKs:
Android: Find it on Maven at com.stytch.dfp:dfp:1.0.3
iOS: Available via Swift Package Manager and CocoaPods (StytchDFPWrapper)
