We’ve expanded Connected Apps to be compatible with any existing authentication system. This unlocks OAuth, AI agent + MCP interactions, and more without needing to migrate your entire auth stack to Stytch.

Connected Apps has always been about making your product an identity provider. Until now, that required using Stytch for core auth. Now, you can keep your current auth provider and still:

• Issue OAuth tokens for cross-app and agentic workflows

• Provide a consent UI with full lifecycle management

• Apply org-level policy controls and human-in-the-loop approvals

This lowers the barrier for teams anchored to a legacy auth provider or custom stack. This makes it easy for teams committed to their existing auth vendor or a custom identity stack to add authentication for MCP and AI agents without a rebuild.
