Web Bot Auth

Stytch now supports Web Bot Auth, an emerging open standard that gives good bots a way to cryptographically identify themselves, so sites can deliver a better Agent Experience (AX).

Clear bot identification improves trust, observability, and user experience. Legacy standards like User-Agent struggle to perform with modern tools. With the right fundamental architecture and an ecosystem forming around it, Web Bot Auth is positioned to become the standard for how agents and bots prove who they are.

Integrate with Stytch using JavaScript via IsAgent or Stytch Device Fingerprinting. If you’re running an agent, there’s no registration required with Stytch as long as you’re sending the Web Bot Auth headers. We’ll be announcing our partners on Web Bot Auth and publishing a guide for bot signing soon.

Get started
Integrate WebBotAuth with your existing Stytch flows using the IsAgent SDK or Device Fingerprinting. If you’re already using these products, you’ll see additional metadata about Web Bot Auth verification included in the response.
