External Metadata for Device Fingerprinting

We’ve introduced a new external_metadata field to our Device Fingerprinting API, enabling you to associate user data with Stytch fingerprints. You can now pass in relevant application data (e.g.  email address, user ID, organization ID) into the Fingerprint Lookup endpoint and store the information with the corresponding fingerprint.

New capabilities also include:

• Searchable metadata: Search by external metadata fields in the DFP analytics Dashboard. 

• DFPPA integration: For DFP Protected Auth integrations, the Stytch SDK will automatically pass in the relevant fields into the external metadata field.
