Hackathon Projects | error-budget.dev: quickly calculate and optimize your error budgets
To help developers understand exactly how much downtime they can afford, we’re excited to launch error-budget.dev as another project resulting from our recent hackathon. This lightweight calculator helps teams evaluate error budgets and better understand their SLO (Service Level Objective) and SLA (Service Level Agreement) commitments. Basically, it turns those fuzzy SLO targets into tangible error budgets, meaning minutes you can spend—or need to save—for a given time period.
With this calculator you can simply (1) Paste in your SLO target (2) Choose a time window (3) See your error budget instantly. It’s that easy.
This is a part of our greater initiative to ensure service reliability when using Stytch. Read more about this in our dedicated blog post on improving our measurement of SLOs and SLIs at Stytch.
Try it out today for free, with no signup at https://error-budget.dev/.
We’ll see you again tomorrow for another project!
